A co-ordination Committee is formed to co-ordinate the activities of various associations functioning in Kerala with the objective of protecting the rights of Building Owners. Rental Entrepreneurs National Trust (RENT) Adoor, All Kerala Building Owners Association, Kozhikode, Building Owners Association, Pala are associations that join hands together to protect the rights of Building Owners who had their buildings let to tenants and face innumerable problems.
All Kerala Rented Building Owners Association dedicated to the well-being of building Owners who have let their buildings on rent. Building Owners have inherent problems to solve such as cost of land and constitutions cost to meet and Building tax, one time building tax of revenue department, Income tax, service tax and problems with electricity board and water connection and so on. Above all the main problem the building owners face is the Rent Control Law prevailing in the state.
This Association along with similar minded associations are negotiating with the government for a fair Rent Control Legislation which balance the interest of the building owner as well as tenant. This Association was founded in Kozhencherry by Dr. K. M. Abraham as its secretary and he had led the association from 1980 to 1995 there after Mr. P. I. Mani was the secretary for five years. Thereafter Adv. Bobby Mani become secretary in the year 2000 and is continuing now.
